AKA visited the Lake Park Disc Golf Course in Lewisville earlier this week and, as usual, it wasn't pretty.

Wanna see how they fared? Then watch the newest installment of AKA.

That's what Kandace and I argue about in our latest video, AKA: Ice Hockey Fun at the Stars Center.

Watch us as we take on our boss, Robert Tracy in a game of ice hockey and duke it out in true Red Wings/Stars style (with the Red Wings winning, of course.)

So Kandace and I spent our Saturday ducking dodgeballs at the Dunford Recreation Center in Mesquite.

There, we challenged our boyfriends, Jeff & Jerrod, to a game of dodgeball with the Dallas Dodgeball League. We were, in a nutshell, terrible.

Wanna see how it all went down? Watch the newest AKA episode now!

Next week, we're shooting TWO new AKA episodes...so get excited!

Monday, we're heading out to In-Sync Exotics in Wylie to meet some tigers, lions and wild cats. In-Sync is a local cat sanctuary and should provide quite an experience.

Saturday, we're off to the Dallas Dodgeball League in Mesquite we're Kandace and I will take on seasoned area dodgeball players. Our boyfriends have agreed to challenge us by playing on the opposite team. They've been bragging about how badly they're going to beat us, but I think it's all just talk.

Stay tuned to see how we fare in the game!

Earlier this week, Kandace and I visited All-4-Fun in Garland, a place that makes bounce houses and everything inflatable.

They let us try out some sumo wrestling suits, an inflatable obstacle course and a bouncy slam-dunk basketball court.

I rocked on the obstacle course, beating Kandace a total of three times. I also managed to beat cameraman Ryan on it, too. I could NOT be beat!

The basketball court, however, was another story. During my first attempt, I slammed into the back wall and slid all the way down like a fly hitting a windshield. It wasn't pretty. The second time, I missed again, but not as horribly. They had to lower the basket all the way down but, eventually, Kandace came out victorious.

Check out the newest episode here.

Send us ideas for adventures in your area!

Kandace and I are having a blast with our new series. However, we need YOUR help to keep these episodes coming.

If there is anywhere fun, interesting or crazy in your hometown that you think would be a good adventure -- let us know!!

Coming up we're visiting a bounce house maker in Garland and a wild cat sanctuary in Wylie, but we still need more ideas!

We'd love to do a shooting range or paintball adventure, so if you know of a good location for either of those, please contact us.

And keep an eye out for our bounce house video later on this week!

Love,

AKA Aly

Okay Kandace and Aly, I'll let you in on a little known secret. I, too, once rode a bull. As did my mother and grandmother. At the same time.

I have this picture to prove it.

I’ll admit it; I was really torn on the ride to Resistol Arena in Mesquite last week.

On one hand, my mom scared me to death when I told her that Aly and I might ride a bull on our next adventure. On the other hand—how often would I get the opportunity to ride a bull? Come on!

Mesquite neighborsgo editor Jenice called me a wuss several times for leaning to the “to not ride” side of things. Aly agreed hands down to mount the large animal.

I decided I would wait until we got to the arena and see how I felt.

Have you ever seen a bull in person? I’ve seen bulls on TV, but never up close. Approaching Barney the Bull was scary enough…I could see his beady large eye staring at me as I walked up.

He was just hanging out, chillin’ while I was scared to death.

I’m not afraid of large animals. If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed with dogs. (One day I will own a mastiff…) Barney was different. I think I could feel every step he took.

I talked to his owner who raised him from a little guy. He made sure to tell me that ‘ol Barney was a kind animal who often takes pictures with 2-year-old children on his back. That’s what swayed me.

The once brave Aly was cowering behind me pushing me toward Barney saying “you go first, you’re older.”

Thanks, Aly!

Filming began and next thing I knew I was on Barney’s back clutching onto a piece of rope for dear life. (I later learned that the reason bulls buck is because of that rope over their shoulders and under their legs. I always thought they bucked because the rope was tied around their privates…the cowboys quickly reassured me that was false. But if they would have told me that the reason bulls buck is because of the same piece of rope I was grasping onto, I don’t think I would have been hoisted up there)

Luckily, the massive animal was pretty tame. Every now and then he would start shaking his head; that was the scariest part. (You might think, ‘no big deal; he’s shaking his head.’ When that huge animal shook his head, everything shook. I think I even felt the Resistol Arena creaking…)

After all that, I’m glad I’m here to share the tale of Barney the bull.

Oh, and my mom wasn’t too happy. After she watched the video, it made up for it…at least a little bit.

and it was pretty darn scary.

Kandace and I visited the Mesquite Championship Rodeo, met some real cowboys and rode a real 1900-pound bull.

You can watch the whole experience here.

The second installment of AKA is now up!!

We visited the Lawrence House in Mesquite and learned about it's connection to Jesse James. We checked out the lookout tower he supposedly watched for posses from and even found some mysterious bullet holes.

Check out this Western-style mystery here.
