Laura Moore hosts Second Saturday reception

Laura Moore Fine Art Studios hosted a reception for the Heard-CraigCenter’s Texas regional art symposium, which was attended by many of the symposium speakers and participants.

The gallery featured research, sketches, field studies and representations of works by artist Laura Moore, printmaker Lynne Hubner and photographer Mary J. Baker.

All three artists’ works will be on display through Nov. 11 at the gallery.

History center to offer free admission Sept. 26

Addie Brooks experiences what life was like for pioneers in the hands-on gallery of the NorthTexasHistoryCenter’s Pioneer Roots exhibit, which spotlights the lives of area pioneers that migrated to Texas pre-Civil War, post-Civil War and circa 1910.

The exhibit will be featured on Museum Day, when free admission is available to those with a special admission card.

Jackie Wright's acrylic painting demo
