The next season of CW's hit series America's Next Top Model premieres Sept. 8, and this year the show selected four of its 14 model hopefuls from Dallas/Ft. Worth.

The local participants include the following, and we couldn’t help but laugh to ourselves a little at some of the answers to questions they were asked:

Ann, a 19-year-old student from Dallas says her favorite designer is Betsey Johnson and her favorite kind of shoes are flats. She also couldn't make it through a photo shoot without eyeliner and the one clothing item she’d never wear is a holiday sweater. How unfortunate. We’re thinking nobody’s going to be inviting her to their tacky sweater Christmas parties this year.

Liz, a 21-year-old shoe sales rep from Arlington says her favorite shoes are 5-inch black leather pumps (And she’s 5’10” so hopefully she dates tall guys.). She also says she would never wear granny panties (reasonable), and if trapped on an island, she would bring her car. We didn’t ever hear how she planned to get it there.

Chris, 20, is from Arlington, but unfortunately she didn’t tell us whether or not she’s willing to wear granny panties. You might need to watch the show for that.

Terra, a 24-year-old from Arlington says her favorite designer is Alexander McQueen and her favorite shoe is Converse. Her must-have photo shoot accessory is an energy drink (Who knew Red Bull was an accessory? Next big trend, anyone?), and she said since she has such a unique style, she would wear anything (including Red Bull?). Additionally, if trapped on an island, she would bring her cell phone. That’s assuming this desert island is one with electrical outlets for her charger, right?

But all jokes aside, follow these models and all the rest as they enter into the world of high fashion, competing for the ultimate career-launching package: a contract with IMG Models, one of the top international modeling management companies in the world; a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and a spread and cover in Beauty in Vogue, in addition to a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics.

The panel of judges, led by Tyra Banks, includes fashion editor Andre Leon Talley and photographer Nigel Barker. See them all at 7 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 8 on The CW.

A film shoot for NBC's new show, Chase, is coming to Dallas Tuesday and will cause some street closures.

Streets to close include 600-800 Munger Avenue, 600-800 McKinney Avenue, 1900 Record Street, 1900 Market Street, 600-800 Corbin Street and the alley between Corbin and Ross Avenue.

The shoot will also involve a helicopter hovering in the air for about an hour between 9 and 11 a.m. In the helicopter scene, actors will climb up a fire escape onto a rooftop of the building on the corner of McKinney and Record Street.

If you've ever wanted to "come on down" on The Price is Right, this could be your chance. CBS 11 is holding a contestant search from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 10 at Bankston Chevrolet-Fort Worth, 7769 Grapevine Highway in North Richland Hills. The show will pick two DFW-area winners to fly to Los Angeles and have a 1-in-2 chance to be a contestant on The Price is Right. Contestants must be legal U.S. residents 18 and older.

Speaking of The Price is Right... here's a video of former neighborsgo editor Lindsey Irvin trying out to be one of "Barker's Beauties" — er, "Carey's Cuties."

Inspired by Collin's post below, here are some of my favorite finales:

Gilmore Girls: The beloved show ended right where it began, with mother and daughter chatting over a cup of coffee at Luke's Diner.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The battle won, Buffy finally had the chance to live her life without vamp-slaying obligations for awhile.

Dawson's Creek: The show's biggest question was answered - Joey ended up with Pacey and the two lived happily ever after, watching their teen years play out on a television series directed by Dawson.

St. Elsewhere: I never watched the show, but the series finale is legendary. As snow falls on the hospital, we pull out to find that it's inside a snowglobe belonging to an autistic child named Tommy Westphall. The ending implied that the series - and any series that was referenced on the show - was all in Tommy's head.

I wonder if Lost will pull those kinds of shenanigans?

With Lost coming to an end Sunday, I got to thinking about how past shows/series have gone out.

Some simply turn off the light and walk out the front door (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) while others offer up a twist no one saw coming.

Feel free to add your favorites/least favorites to the list and let's see how many we can come up with.

Dallas: It was all a dream.

Roseanne: Roseanne was writing a book about her life as a working-class mother.

X-Files: Does anyone know how this show ended? Or if it ever did? Seriously.

Friends: Rachel and Ross end up together; Chandler and Monica move out of the city; Phoebe remains a free spirit; Joey gets an ill-fated spin off.

Seinfeld: The four friends are "removed from society" for a year for not stopping a carjacking and spend the time in jail. Jerry references the first episode by talking to George about the position of a button on his shirt.

Freaks and Geeks: It only got 13 episodes, but it still went out strong. Lindsey told her parents she was going off to an academic retreat but instead followed the Greatful Dead around for two weeks. Sam dumped his Cindy Sanders, the girl he crushed on during the series run and Daniel befriended the geeks. A great ending to a great show.

Tune in tonight to the preview of Fox's The Good Guys to possibly catch a glimpse of your own neighborhood. Not sure exactly where they filmed, but the cast and crew of the show have been hard at work in the Dallas area shooting the comedic cop show. The series will officially begin June 7.

Will you watch?
