Relay For Life Paint The Town Purple Rally The American Cancer Society Relay For Life (RFL) McKinney will paint McKinney purple with a rally on March 29 at 11:30 a.m. on the north steps of the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee Street, in Historic Downtown McKinney. The rally is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to wear purple.
“Purple is the official color of Relay For Life, and through Relay, you experience something called ‘The Power of Purple,’” said RFL McKinney Co-Chair Sharon Laird. “You see lives changed when you invite others to join Relay for the first time, know the sense of victory when someone who has battled cancer walks their first Survivor Lap and never forget the emotion of placing a luminaria bag for someone you love.”
Through the Paint The Town Purple rally, RFL McKinney hopes to communicate ‘the power of purple’ to area residents and kick off April as Relay For Life Month in McKinney.

Edible Book Festival The Edible Book Festival is both a contest and exhibit of edible "books". How it works: Turn in an entry form and your $10 entry fee to the Main
Library by March 29. Enter solo or as part of a group or class. Then, create your masterpiece! Using food, create a “book”. Your entry can look like a book, represent a specific title, contain print or illustrations - anything
goes, as long as it’s made out of food! Bring your entry to the Main Library by 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 5. Edible books will be on display at the Library from 2 until 4 pm. At that time, we’ll recognize winners in 5 categories: Most Artistic, Most Creative, Best Use of Theme, Best Entry by a Child, and People’s Choice.
Votes in the People’s Choice category will be accepted for a $1 donation to the Library Foundation. Money collected in this event will benefit the libraries of the Grand Prairie Public Library System. | Grand Prairie Main Library 901 Conover Dr.

Yoga for Healthy Knees Workshop Do you have chronic pain in your knees? Do they “snap, crackle, and pop” like a bowl of rice-krispies when you bend or extend them? Or do your knees hyperextend?
You may have improper tracking or “dislocation” of your kneecap. Constant wear and tear of your cartilage underneath the patella bone can not only grind down the cartilage, but it can eliminate the opportunity for new cartilage to form and repair due to the improper alignment.
Join Lisa Marshall, E.R.Y.T., and Jennifer Martin, R.P.T. at Surya Center for Yoga, for this valuable workshop. You will learn Yoga poses to stretch, and strengthen the two Quad muscles, the vastus medialis, and the vastus lateralis…two that play the most important role in proper knee alignment. You will learn how to correct your own alignment in your Yoga classes and your everyday life to build and maintain healthy knees.
*Cost is $25.00, which includes take home material. Register on line @ www.Suryacenteryoga.com or call 972-304-8484. | Surya Center for Yoga 848 S. Denton Tap #250

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
