Fri 05 Sep 2008 8:00 AM Mile High Karate Grand Opening

Each day you ask your children to face challenges that were unheard of just a few short years ago. Overcrowded classrooms, peer pressure, violence, and levels of negativity in our society that can discourage even the brightest and most optimistic child. And, when our children hopefully manage to remain physically safe, we can't help but feel alarmed - wondering if they are maintaining the optimism and the self-esteem they had when they were younger. So what do you do about developing the confidence to ask and to answer question? How about the discipline to focus, to concentrate, and to learn at their maximum potential? Are these traits being adequately developed at school? You can be sure that these traits and more are developed at Mile High Karate! We've been working successfully with families l

The Democratic candidate for County Commissioner supports our cities and county working together for the rail system. The walk will end in McKinney at a rally for the rail. Says Victor, "It is time for the county government to pony up to the bar and work with the cities instead of let them fail individually. The County has to step in with initiatives to kick-start this project if we are ever going to see rail service succeed. If we do not stand together, we will surely fall apart."

Sun 07 Sep 2008 8:30 AM Detox Your Pace
SERMON SERIES Worship Time 8:30 & 11:00 AM More and more people these days are undergoing a detox. Toxins from our food and our suburban “habitat” build up in our bodies over time and can make us feel sluggish and discontent. A detox can help us expel these toxins and restore our physical health and vitality. All of us are exposed to spiritual toxins as well – daily patterns, personal habits, past experiences, and cultural values that sap our spiritual strength and steal our joy. This sermon series will help you become aware of the toxins building up in your soul and give you tools for detoxing your spiritual life and restoring your spiritual health.
