The Plano Fun Ride is a bicycle ride for children and their families. Line up and on-site registration starts at 6:30 am, ride begins at 9:00 am. All proceeds benefit the Relief Nursery of Collin County, a child abuse prevention program, and the Plano Children’s Medical Clinic, a clinic that serves Medicaid and low-income children. There are 5 and 10 mile courses for families and a bicycle rodeo for little kids. There will be four (4) rest stops along the way stocked with drinks, fruit and cookies. One rest stop will have massage therapists and a chiropractor on hand in case you need to work out the kinks. The Plano Police Department Crime Prevention Unit will be setting up a table for free bike etching. There will be fun stuff from our area McDonald’s, and the Plano Early Lions Club will be there collecting your unused eye glasses. Go to www.PlanoFunRide.org for more info.
