The Achievement Center of Texas (ACT) and the Honorable Kay Bailey Hutchison as Honorary Chairwoman will host its 2008 Spring Gala, “Crystal Magic,” at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Darryl Johnson, former Dallas Cowboy Great and last years Champion Who Cares Award Winner, will present this years awards to Berry Family Services and Mrs. Krickett Goss. Also, ACT is proud to announce its first ACT Champion Hero Award to Marine Sgt. William Ellington. Mitch Carr of KLUV radio will emcee. Currently, the ACT Gala committee is selling tickets ($100) and tables ($1,000) and soliciting auction items. The proceeds from the Gala will benefit ACT and its programs including day care and life skills training to our children and adults with special needs.
