The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Be a part of National Day of Prayer activities through the ministry of First Baptist Church Thursday, May 1. The Worship Center will be open during the day for those who wish to come and spend time in prayer for our nation. There will be a brief time of worship and prayer together 12:15-12:45 p.m. in the Worship Center. Plan to participate as we join with believers around our nation in prayer.
