The world of parenting teenagers can be a scary place. Many parents would agree that looking at that world and learning how to navigate it takes as much help as can be found. First Baptist Church Allen is providing just such help for the Allen area. A free “Parents of Youth Seminar” is open to all parents of teenagers and pre-teens Sunday, April 27, 4-6 p.m., in the First Baptist Church Allen Worship Center. Dr. Johnny Derouen, Associate Professor of Student Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, will lead the parent seminar. Dr. Derouen has a wealth of information on teenagers and their culture and how parents can help students plot a course through the world in which they live.
