Basic Grant Writing Class - Dr. Arleta Harris at the University of North Texas will be conducting a basic grant writing class at the Civic Center on June 6, 2008 starting at 8:30am. The seminar will help you learn more about grant availability, writing grants and finding money to implement your ideas to improve our City. The City Council approved this project to help city staff and citizens work toward receiving more external funds for community projects. If you are interested in attending the workshop contact the Economic Development Office at 972-913-3009 or pick up an application at the civic center, city hall, library and recreation center. The cost for the morning workshop is $25 and to participate in the all day seminar which includes assistance with technical writing and reviewing your grant proposal is $50.
