Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's groundbreaking rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar changed the face of musical theater when it debuted on Broadway in 1971. Chronicling the last seven days in the life of Jesus Christ, Superstar dramatizes Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the unrest caused by his preaching and popularity, his betrayal by Judas, the trial before Pontius Pilate and his ultimate crucifixion. It features such well-known songs as I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Gethsemane and Superstar. Performances are July 9-12: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; with an additional Saturday matinee at 2:00 p.m. All performances take place at the Scott Theatre in the Fort Worth Community Arts Center (1300 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, 76107).
