Lemonade for Leadership
Remember when you were a kid, and you built a lemonade stand in front of your house? You felt so “grown-up” to run your own little business. On Saturday, August 2nd from 11am-3pm, young people from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dallas, Collin and Tarrant Counties will get to run a lemonade stand in the front of all six Whole Foods Market stores. Lemonade will be served in a take-home commemorative cup. Each Boys & Girls Club has a character- and leadership-building group for tweens ages 11-13. They’ll be accepting donations for each cup of lemonade served; total proceeds support their community service programs. Some of the younger kids will be there too, to be mentored by their older friends in the Clubs. All-natural lemonade will be provided by Whole Foods Market so that total proceeds go to each club’s leadership program. Store locations: · Park & Preston in Plano · Preston & Forest in Dallas · Lemmon & Lomo Al
