The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 to open Allen ISD’s newest school, Mary Evans Elementary. The school is located at 1225 Walnut Springs Drive. The school is named after Mrs. Mary Evans, who served on the AISD Board of Trustees from 1981-1993. A formal dedication will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2008.
