Ann Shelton returns to Park Forest with another engaging book program: "The Harvey Girls: The Women Who Civilized the West" by Juddi Morris. One hundred thousand girls left the safety of their homes for work (and adventure) in the Wild West. They were the waitresses at Fred Harvey's restaurants along the Santa Fe railroad, but their "culture and courage changed the American West."
