The Dallas, Texas chapter of BAPS Charities will be holding its annual walkathon on September 6th, 2008 at T.W. Richardson Park, Irving, TX. In keeping with its annual walkathon theme, “Building a Better Community, One Step at a Time”, part of the proceeds from this year's walkathon will go to The American Diabetes Association. "This will be a tremendous opportunity for two groups dedicated to the well-being of the community to work together and serve this great township” said local BAPS Charities representative, Deepen Patel of Dallas, TX. “The American Diabetes Association has worked tirelessly for decades to fund research to find the cure for and prevention of diabetes and its many health problems.
