Attending a brief orientation is all you need to get started making a difference as a volunteer in your community through GLC. Greater Lewisville Cares, a 501c3 nonprofit, provides flexible, hands-on service opportunities for all ages and interests primarily in Denton County, as well as provides information on a variety of longer term volunteer opportunities such as mentoring, meals on wheels, and much more. Once an orientation is attended, volunteers receive a monthly calendar of service opportunities from which they can pick and choose what fits their schedule and interests—there is no fee, no minimum hour requirement.
