The 4th annual Heroes for Children 5K Run/Walk, presented by WFAA, will be held on Saturday, September 13th at The Shops at Legacy in Plano, TX. The 5K Race/Walk will take place on Saturday morning, September 13th with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. The 1mile Family Fun Run will begin at 7:45 a.m., and the 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:15 a.m. Plano Mayor Pat Evans will serve as Honorary Chair of the event and declare September 13th as Childhood Cancer Awareness Day in the city of Plano. Steve Stoler of WFAA will be the emcee the event again this year. Eddie Coker, the award winning children’s entertainer will perform, and there will be bounce houses, and other fun activities for the family.
