The Garland Area Parent Association for Gifted and Talented will host special guest Traci Guidry from the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP) as part of our Guest Speaker Series on Friday, October 17, beginning with a potluck dinner at 6:30 and the presentation at 7:15 pm. The free program is open to the public and will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 801 W. Avenue B, in downtown Garland. Duke TIP has been a world leader in identifying academically gifted students and providing innovative programs to support their educational development. Through identification, recognition, information, advocacy, challenging educational programs, and research, TIP offers a wide array of services to students, their parents, educators, and schools.
