On Saturday, November 15th at 8:00 p.m. Richardson High School hosts one of the finest big bands of its kind in the world, The Airmen of Note. The United States Air Force’s premier jazz ensemble was created in 1950 to carry on the style and tradition of the Glenn Miller Army Air Forces Dance Band. Stationed in Washington DC, seven of the 21 band members attended the University of North Texas. The concert is in Richardson High School’s renowned auditorium, former home of the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, located at 1250 W. Beltline Road in Richardson, Texas.
