I can't think of a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than giving the color red - red for blood.....

 Saturn of Mesquite is having a blood drive from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Valentine's Day - Saturday, February 14, 2009.

Come by if you can.  Carter will be here with the usual free stuff - free cholesterol check and mini physical, free t shirt, cookies and juice.  (and don't forget my personal favorite - you lose a pound each time you give blood!)

Saturn of Mesquite will even give donors a free certificate for an oil change that is good on most makes and models.  The certificate doesn't have an expiration date.  I'm pretty sure that is worth about an hour of your time.

Mesquite resident Jessica Kath will speak about the need for organ donors.  She will speak at noon.  She is a girl with a big heart and a smile on her face, but she needs a heart.  I'm sure she'd love your support.

The National Marrow Donor Program will also be here with sign up information.

My catch phrase of the week ~ If you are scared to give blood, think of how brave you'd be if your favorite person needed blood, then move forward.....
