The J.J. Pearce Varsity Boys Soccer team improved their district record with an exciting win over The Colony Friday evening. After a scoreless first half, The Colony was the first to put points on the board midway through the second half. Pearce countered with a score shortly thereafter from captain Keegan Smith, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Forced into overtime, goalkeeper Robbie Ramirez blocked the first attempt from The Colony, while Scott Luedtke gave Pearce a one goal advantage.
Keegan Smith, Reece Markman and Juan Aguirre were all successful in scoring, while the Colony capitalized on only goal, ending the game before Justin Butler had to shoot.
