Salma Hayek talks about her beard

Bookmark and Share

That is possibly the strangest subject line I have ever typed. But she does talk about it on today's blog about the new film Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. By clicking the links below you can also hear from John C Reilly, Josh Hutcherson and Chris Massoglia as they take you behind the scenes of this fantasy adventure.

Basically it is the story of two teenagers Darren and Steve whose lives are changed after attending a traveling carnival freak show. There they meet Crepsley, a vampire with a heart?!? Strange I know and here Massoglia (Darren) talks more about the story line. click to listen

Steve is played by Josh Hutcherson (RV, Bridge to Terabithia, Zathura) and further explains the relationship between his character and Darren. click to listen

John C. Reilly plays Crepsley who has a decent outlook as far as vampires go. John elaborates on the two kinds flying around out there. click to listen

Obviously Crepsley is a main staple in this film and both Josh (click to listen) and Chris (click to listen) talk about this pivotal character and John's portrayal.

A film set in a carnival backdrop with freaks and vampires has to pull off a unique style and look. This one captured the attention of both John (click to listen) and Salma (click to listen)

Cirque du Freak has an impressive cast including Ray Stevenson, Ken Watanabe, Patrick Fugit, and Willem Dafoe. John C. Reilly shares his excitement working with such great players. click to listen

Ok but really? Salma Hayek (Madame Truska) with a beard? What could possible attract her to this project? click to listen And how did she feel about the beard experience? click to listen

Cirque du Freak: The Vampires Assistant flaps into theaters this Friday, October 23rd. It is rated PG-13 for for sequences of intense supernatural violence and action, disturbing images, thematic elements and some language
