"Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation (manner of life) of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation (manner of life) coupled with fear." - I Peter 3:1,2 (KJV)
My wife, Michelle Wallace, is the most beautiful portrait of Christ's love, mercy, forgiveness, and patience that I have ever seen! As you hear my testimony you understand that it was the love and mercy of my wife that drew me back to Christ. Michelle has truly borne these verses out in our home and in our lives. It was when Michelle began to love me with the perfect love of Christ that my addiction came to an end by God's grace.
I saw my wife no longer trying to change me, but instead allowing God to change her. What a difficult thing that must have been! To be the one without, "The Problem"; yet allowing God to change her and praying that in turn it would change me... Thank God that it did!
In a world where "divorce" is the answer for everything I am glad that God allowed me to marry a lady who understood that there are only nine ways in which we are allowed to Biblically act or re-act. Those nine ways are found in Galatians chapter number five and they are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
Because of all of this I have asked Michelle to formulate a ladies support group that runs parallel with our Reformers Unanimous meetings on Friday nights. These ladies study intensely the Fruit of the Spirit and how to lovingly support their loved ones during their addiction.
