Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably already heard about "Picken's Plan" to convert 20% of our energy requirements in transportation to natural gas powered vehicles. He proposes to use massive wind power to replace 20% of our power with wind power.

Even with all of his money pushing this plan with our politicians, and holding public meetings across the USA, and even appearing before Congress, nothing much has been proposed by our Congressional representatives or the President Elect. While it may be prudent to focus on our Economic issues we cannot forget that we are almost totally at the mercy of foreign governments where oil is concerned.
