My vehicle is among the more than 121,000 that pass through it every day.

It's a small stretch of State Highway 121 between Grapevine and Lewisville/Coppell. It doesn't seem like much, but it's a bane of frustration during Rush Hour.

The past weekend, TxDot opened the freeway's new lanes. Now, southbound commuters on 121 have a straight shot from Frisco to the north entrance of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

No more crawling along the service roads loaded with stoplights (two, actually, but it seems like many more). Steve Soler of WFAA has more here.
