The J.J. Pearce High School swim team boys took seventh place and girls finished 11th in the 2008 UIL 4A state championships on Feb. 22-23 at the University of Texas pool in Austin, according to correspondent Donna Mullins. 

"We had some great swims," Mullins reported, including event finishes as high as second place among the boys and fourth place among the girls.

BOYS RESULTS

- 200  Individual Medley - Chuck Zhou, fifth place

- 100 Backstroke - Chuck Zhou, second

- 200 Freestyle - Andrew Silver, 10th, and Brent Goodwin, 16th

- 500 Freestyle - Andrew Silver, ninth 

- 100 Breastroke - Chad Robinson, 14th

- 200 Medley Relay - Chuck Zhou, Chad Robinson, Brent Goodwin and Joseph Lin, seventh place

- 200 Freestyle Relay - Chuck Zhou, Andrew Silver, Joseph Lin and Brent Goodwin, seventh place

- 400 Freestyle Relay - Chad Robinson, Andrew Silver, Brent Goodwin and Joseph Lin, 10th place

GIRLS RESULTS

- 100 Back - Erica Stuart, fourth place

- 500 Freestyle - Ainsley Mitchell, ninth

- 200 Freestyle Relay - Frannie Mullins, Erica Stuart, Ainsley Mitchell and Elyse Burkert, 11th place

- 400 Freestyle Relay - Frannie Mullins, Erica Stuart, Ainsley Mitchell and Lindsey Larson, eighth place
