Carol McMillan reports that in previous Idol weeks, contestants and their guests were treated to an Idol After Party and dinner, immediately following the reveal.

“This has been a time to honor the Idol who was voted off,” Carol explains.

But during the McMillans’ visit with Jason in Hollywood last week, the party was canceled due to the contestants’ busy schedule. “The contestants had to practice an upcoming number immediately after the reveal show,” she said.

The contestants were given some free time for dinner, at 9 p.m., with curfew at 11.

Jason joined the McMillans at a nearby restaurant, along with some of his friends from Rockwall and a couple of youth pastors from SaddlebackChurch in California.
