Our firefighter friend Madison Lyle has a son named Joshua Dower, who happens to be an aspiring musician and songwriter. And Joshua happens to be Jason Castro’s roommate at A&M. Along with Jason’s younger brother Michael (who can also sing), and their good friend Jeff.

I asked if the college roommates ever jam out together.

“Oh yeah, of course, they play,” Madison said.

Madison spoke very proudly of his son, whose songwriting skills sound promising. “You know, I can see Joshua writing songs for Jason one day. Michael has a great business mind, too, and a great voice. I can see him being a good business manager for Jason,” Madison said. 

Of course Jason’s college career is temporarily on hold while he sees where his journey on American Idol leads. His friends and fans at A&M remind everyone to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE tonight!
