Count Gov. Rick Perry as the newest Dreadhead. He's pulling for Jason Castro.

Whether the Guv wears a wig with dreadlocks or actually grows his hair into dreads remains to be seen. But the fact that Jason is both Texan and an Aggie helps his cause with the Guv.

"I don't watch an inordinate amount of TV," Perry told an Austin radio station, "but this is one that my wife actually said, 'Come here, you've got to watch this. They've got an Aggie on here that's singing and he's got dreads.' "

Of course, pulling for an Aggie in Austin isn't the best advice for a politician.

"Hey, if there was a Longhorn on there — the only one from Texas — I'd be rooting for them," the Guv said.
