Does anyone know anything about the Mayor's deep pocket financial contributors (25k each) and if they have an agenda in Irving or are they just good buds of the Mayor?  Posted in DMN on Friday April, 18 (Incumbents lead in fundraising).  Daniel Phillips and Michael O'Malley both gave 25k. Why?  Gears has done some good for Irving but not that good and he has upset many regarding the citizens forum and his control of ICTN.

Also, do you know if the mayor candidate forum / open phone line call in at ICTN has been rescheduled and why it was canceled in the first place?   I can't understand why the Mayor would not like to debate his opponents as it is such a great way to determine which one would be the better choice for mayor.  Now, early voting will start on Monday and we may have to vote without this input.

DMN has not written a thing about these issues and they seem to be much more important than the Flood Control Board that only affects one part of Irving.  The above issues affect all Irvingites and our neighbors on all sides.
How can our voice be heard if DMN does not write about it or publish our questions or concerns?  Cool

One way to better serve South Irving is to show up to the city council meetings every other Thursday at 6:30 PM at City Hall and after reading the long form agenda, cast your comments in support of, or against, any agenda item you wish.
