Tune up those vocal chords, gather those faithful fans and get ready for the Rockwall Idol 2009.  Rumor has it its better than a "trip to Hollywood".  Beginning March 5th with the first of three preliminary competitions and concluding with the finale on March 28th at the annual WomenAid Banquet.  All of the events will be held at the Hilton Bella Harbor.   Stay tuned for more details or visit our website at RockwallIdol.com for all of the details and to register to participate.   

Rockwall Soroptimist kicked off our 2008 Rockwall Idol for WomenAid at the Christmas Parade.  Angie Landers entertained the bundled up crowd with cuts from her newly released CD - "Finally".  The standing room only parade route cheered her on over their hot chocolate and she was a trooper singing every step of the way!

Now we kick it in gear searching for our newest 2008 Idol! Watch for signs throughout the community, in local publications and visit one of our (2) websites - rockwallsoroptimist.com and rockwallidol.org (currently under construction)   We will hold (3) prelim auditions at Rockwall High School; the cost is a $10 donation per song entry and tickets to view the auditions will be $5 at the door with proceeds benefiting women and children's medical needs in Rockwall County, 

The final competition will take place March 29th at the Hilton Bella Harbor, located in the Harbor.

Our 2006 Idol, Angie Landers will make an appearance at the Christmas Parade on December 1st sharing her newly released CD created through a prize won as the first Rockwall Idol.  The Soroptimist of Rockwall go Green in 2008 as they spread cheer and information about the upcoming event.
