CHOICES...

I was reminded of the importance of choices this Thanksgiving week-end. I had the opportunity to meet, be-friend, feed, and preach to many homeless folks of Dallas, TX.

It was an amazing evening! We had such a blessed time, but just like all things this too had to come to an end. As our bus pulled up to the stopping point that the folks call "Stew Pot" my mind began to swirl with thoughts and questions...

How? Why? When? Doesn't anyone?

Then I was reminded of a time...not to long ago that my whole life and future hung in the balance of what CHOICE would I make? Would it be self or family? Me or God? You see these people are just like you and I except maybe they did not have the loving support that maybe you and I have to help with the choices in life that define us. Maybe you have been priviledged not to have to face some of the choices that they have been forced to choose.

Whatever your current state I hope that you will take time and ask God's wisdom for the choices that come into your life. Remember, you are one bad choice away from home-lesness or even worse...DEATH

If you or someone you love is held captive by the chains of addiction I want you to know that you are not alone. Not only are you not alone, but there is a whole network of loving, caring, and victorious people who want to see you or your loved ones brek the chains of addiction!

May I introduce myself? My name is Richard Wallace, Jr. and I now have the priviledge of helping others to find the same freedom that was given to me thru the POWER of THE TRUTH. You have heard that statement, right? "The truth sets free". It is a common statement in all addiction recovery and it is true. However, most programs leave you frusturated needing to find "The Truth" by yourself.

At Reformers Unanimous we will let you know what the Bible calls "Truth". In John 14:6 the Bible tells us, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life..." Oh, and by the way, did you know that the statement "Only the Truth makes free" is also a Bible verse? It is! John 8:32.

This is where RU takes the frustration out of recovery and victory. All we have to do to gain freedom from addictions' chains is to know (have a personal relationship with) the Truth!

Hoping to see you on Friday nights,

Richard Wallace, Jr.
