Neighborsgo just got word that Jason Castro will attend the Feb. 12 grand opening premier of the newest attraction at Walt Disney World - The American Idol Experience.

"Disney Imagineers and American Idol have partnered to re-create the American Idol television stage at Walt Disney World in Florida. This is a red carpet event and will be the largest gathering of American Idols to date!" said Greg Bell with Disney Talent Relations.

Six big screens and plenty of wings, burgers, steak and beer await American Idol fans in the sports bar of Wing Dingers, 107 E. Interstate 30 in Royse City, where the newly built, family-owned and operated restaurant serves up AI each night that the show airs.

I dropped in today after seeing a sign out front announcing their AI watch parties. And yes, owner Chris Fischer is apparently a Jason Castro fan (who around here isn't?)

I mentioned the Dreadhead (and the possibilities of Jason's brother Michael following in his footsteps) and cashiers, waitresses and patrons alike lit up and began reminiscing about Jason's suprise appearance at Lake Pointe Church's Christmas Eve service in nearby Rockwall.

I picked up some wings while I was there, after picking up an ankle brace and crutches for my daughter from the medical offices down the street. Samantha  suffered a bad sprain while out of school for an ice day yesterday. No, she didn't slip on the ice, although that would sound better than saying my children were running amuck and Sam's little brother pounced on her while she was crawling around on all fours pretending she was a dog.

By the way, while at Wing Dingers, I learned that peantuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite, and that Wing Dingers at Skillman and Audelia was torn down to make way for freeway expansion.

The wings were pretty good, too.

Lost Fan's Log, Star Date 01.29.2009:

Had a brilliant blog post last night directly after Lost aired.

Was trying to upload via iPhone. Lost it all.

Decided to pull out oldest trick in the book - the haiku - and wrote a brilliant one ... and lost that, too.

Decided this morning that the haiku, the minimalist three-line poem consisting of 17 syllables - with the first line having five, the second seven and the third five - is as good a way as any to summarize the twists and turns of this incredible mindworm of a show.

But we also need to leave room for at least one observation, something that haiku technology alone can't resolve. Here, then, is LHAO (Lost Haiku And Observation), picking up at Episode No. 86 (Season 5, Episode 3):

As Castro fans anxiously await to see how far younger brother Michael follows in Jason Castro's footsteps - or better yet - if he blazes his own unique trail on the American Idol music scene - there's good news on the homefront about the Dreadhead's success in recording "Hallelujah" for a movie soundtrack...

The word from the Castro camp is that "the reviews have been great for both the film and Jason." Jason recently sang "Hallelujah" at the film festival in Santa Barbara, during the movie's world premier. The song is featured prominently in the final scenes of the Mexican/Columbian co-production, Amar A Morir.

Check out this postive review, and stay tuned to neighborsgo.com for updates. There are several exciting things in the works on the Castro front, and I'll keep you posted from their hometown of Rockwall, where loyal fans continue follow Jason faithfully, and are rallying behind brother Michael, too.

Also, take a look at Michael's myspace page.

Red wire or blue wire? Thursday's episode of "The Office" opened with a classic Jim prank on Dwight, as Jim attached 500 feet of red wire to Dwight's computer. It's nice to see the show going back to its roots. It almost makes me feel like putting a co-worker's stapler in Jello. (more)

Why do I do this to myself?

Only 45 minutes into the Lost season premiere & I'm.....dare I go there?

The action & mystery already have my mind boggled. So I won't embarrass myself as to pretend I can eloquently recount tonight's happenings in between the shortest commercial sets this TV season, but here's Hour One as I see it:

Sawyer- shirtless

Jack - shaved

Sun - shady

Time - trippin'

Kate - fugitive

Hurley - scared

Locke - dead

Locke - shot

Richard - Locke's poppy?

Sayid - tranquilized

Boat - vanished

Helicopter - vanished

Island - moved

Hatch - back

Desmond - where?

Faraday- secretive

Desmond - huh?

Candice - Puzzled

I love this show!

A little Aggie birdie told me that American Idol contestant Michael Castro, brother of fourth place finalist Jason Castro, was at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall last Saturday. I attended the Sunday service, so I can't confirm this first-hand, but the word is - Michael no longer has red hair.

Does this mean we can no longer call his fans Redheads, like Jason's Dreadheads?

Stay tuned to Idol and our coverage at neighborsgo.com and we'll see!

It's Dwight. It's Andy. It's a fight to the death!

The cold open of tonight's "Office" focused on a new feature at Dunder Mifflin: a radar gun outside the building. As Pam notes that it’s become a distraction, Michael challenges employees to foot races in front of the sensor.
