This just in from the Castro camp...."Things are moving a mile a minute in lots of different directions. Turns out Jason won't be on Idol this week and the song won't be on iTunes tomorrow. We know this is not what you want to hear, BUT there's really great news coming soon...."

We'll have to wait a little longer for his new single, "Love Uncompromised," to be available on iTunes.

They continue, "We know how excited everyone was for the big week, but it simply wasn't possible to have on Idol due to time constraints. AI and Jason are looking forward to a future appearance if scheduling permits."

Anyone see last night's episode? Per usual, the actual episode was hit-or-miss. However, the big news ... the show is now animated in crystal-clear high definition and the show has a new (gasp) opening title sequence.

I think the new opening is great. It pays tribute to the classic portions (Bart at chalkboard, the inanimate carbon rod, Maggie honking the horn) but it also adds to them. The grocery check out lane is the best -- Look for Mr. Sparkle, Tomacco juice and Baby Gerald, Maggie's unibrowed nemesis. There's so much more, and perhaps we'll have another 19 seasons of the show to dissect all the winks and nods it contains.

So, do you like the new opening? Did you like last night's episode?

Previously on "The Office:" Michael and Pam were on their way to Nashua to see Michael's former HR gal pal, Holly. Jim and Dwight were poorly attempting to plan a party for Kelly, whose birthday they had forgotten. Andy was lonely. Creed was weird. All caught up? Let's go! (more)

It's over for the Castros.

Michael Castro sat in Room 3 with others, hearing the others celebrating their advance.

The judges come into the room -- and deliver the hammer.

Michael and his group are going home.

Too bad, we didn't get to hear much from him the past few weeks.

OK, a Texan named Michael is up. Michael Sarver, the oilfield worker from Jasper, and he sounds good.

And he ended up in a room of contestants who struggled. The judges, sans Simon, came in with long faces and a somber tone.

But it was all a ruse.

They all made it. What a dirty trick.
