I wonder whether this recession will hit the TV industry like it has real life. Will art imitate real life? I mean, what if some of the shows can't afford all of its stars and have to artfully lay off a few?

We saw it in the latest Desperate Housewives. Edie became the second housewife from the original cast to bite the dust.

What's next?

Instead of 60 Minutes, maybe just 45 Minutes. CSI: Cedar Hill? Two Men instead of Two and a Half Men?

Stay tuned.

Reality TV star Jason Castro, who is arguably Rockwall's favorite son, now can go to Twitter and be Jason Castro.

We held the Twitter account for about a year, registering it as soon as he was getting famous on American Idol. Through all the hustle and bustle of Idol drama, Jason Castro homecomings, etc., we never really thought to offer it back to him until we started receiving follow-me alerts through e-mail.

Will Susan Boyle -- the Scottish singer who wowed the world and Simon Cowell on reality TV -- make it to Grapevine?

That possibility was brought up first here days after she stunned judges and viewers of Britain's Got Talent, the U.K. clone of America's Got Talent. Boyle resides in West Lothian, Scotland, the sister city of Grapevine.

This week, the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau plans to talk with West Lothian officials to see whether Boyle will be in the delegation that makes it to Grapevine's GrapeFest on Sept. 17-20. West Lothian sent 30 delegates to last year's GrapeFest.

I won’t be watching America’s Next Top Model again. No, it’s not because London was eliminated – it’s why she was eliminated.

SURVEY: DID LONDON'S OUSTER SEND THE WRONG MESSAGE?

I can remember a while back when Tyra Banks herself was being called "fat" by the media because, according to the magazines, she was losing her supermodel frame at – get this - 161 pounds and 5'11''. She was so disturbed by the negative attention she was getting that she dedicated a series of talk shows to discuss how the media was sending the wrong message to young girls. So imagine my shock and disbelief that tonight’s ‘Top Model’ episode did the exact same thing.

What does Grapevine have in common with worldwide singing sensation Susan Boyle?

Boyle, who wowed judges on Britain's Got Talent, resides in her childhood home in West Lothian, Scotland, the sister city of Grapevine, Texas.

If you haven't heard or seen Boyle's stunning appearance on Britain's Got Talent, the U.K.'s reality-TV answer to America's Got Talent, then you haven't been watching TV lately. Or listening to radio. Or reading.
