North Dallas resident Jake Baldwin, drummer for local band Adrenaline, just wrapped up a fundraiser, Jammin' for Justice, which raised funds for St. Mary of Mt. Carmel School. Jake is an eighth-grade student at St. Monica Catholic School.

His proud mom, Pershing Elementary teacher Jeni Baldwin, posted some of his lyrics for our May 17 Student Edition.

Withers Elementary art teacher Jan Alexander and the work of her students was profiled here recently when they prepared a banner to be sent to the Olympic games in Beijing.

Now, Alexander's class shares photos of their work on the loom making woven items from found materials. For her classroom, it was a lesson that recycling can be beautiful.

E.L. DeGolyer Elementary's Talented and Gifted students recently wrapped up their independent studies, which covered a range of topics.
