I'm that guy who used running plays on NFL Blitz for N64 and was accused of being "cheap" by my friends.

Kymberlaine Banks has really been making her voice heard with her story about the Garland vs. South Garland game from last week. Her effort to go beyond the norm and give some content a little bit contraversial has earned my respect. She is my honorary "Out Loud" Voice of the week.

See her story here.

Speak in cliche like a high school football coach for an entire afternoon. When somebody at work asks why you screwed up, explain that you just didn't have a good first half and couldn't get a read on the new quarterback.

If you are asking out a girl, say she has the intangibles that make her an asset to your squad.

Say you gave 110% for everything you did.

Tell people you are taking it one play/game/quarter at a time.

Stay awake at a party until everyone is leaving or passes out, then say "I just had the most points on the board when the clock ran out."

Mosh pits with sweaty Irish kids are painful. I glad I'm wearing long sleeves to cover my bruises. But as a whole, the Flogging Molly show was still pretty darn good. I wouldn't say the best concert I've been to (Dethklok probably is still No. 1), but I'd put it in the top 5 or 7.

Instead of getting home and taking a nap for two hours and then sometimes eating dinner or just grabbing fast food, I'm now making dinner and measuring out leftovers for the upcoming days to have as meals or sides.

Healthy living is a chore.

I'm going to see Flogging Molly tomorrow night at House of Blues in Dallas. For those who don't know, my last name is Murphree... Not Murphy... Not Murfree... Not Muphere or Mumphrey... Murphree.

I like the Irish decent and I will wear my green vest with pride tomorrow night. It looks like this but in green. Like plain old Crayola Green.

I just wanted to brag on my alma mater and how they stomped SMU this past weekend. Now I will have a chance to eat my words about how overrated the Big 12 is when TCU plays Oklahoma this weekend.

In other news, the fair starts this week, so I expect people to flood my inbox with challenges or ways to get me to experience the Texas State Fair at its finest.

Speak in your best NPR voice. Maybe you have a hint of Paul Harvey or you have a weird nasal sound like Vin Scully. Either way, go around reading everything in your radio voice, it is sure to get some laughs or yawns from your friends.

My parents were still in town this morning. They have kept their cat's litter box in my room which was cool, except at about 4:15 this morning I heard a scraching and digging sound. She was burying her business for a solid 10 minutes. She needs to learn to be efficient instead of sculpting in her litter box.

That is all,
Marcus

My parents swung by my office today, it was weird. I'm used to my parents maybe being in town and visiting me, but never before had I been living on my own, paying my own way. I'm still their son, but I feel more like an adult now than I ever have before. It's pretty crazy.
