An energy blog discussing the energy crisis in the USA. Please limit your comments and suggestions to subjects directly related to ENERGY issues-- conventional and-or renewable. This may include the politics and economics surrounding this critical problem. This is NOT a "global warming" subject blog --- except where government energy policies may coincide with GW economic concerns. Your comments-RANTS-or discussion is welcomed.

I read an interesting article in the Dallas Morning News, August 13th. A low level nuclear waste dump is almost approved for West Texas. The article reported that "The Sierra Club's Texas chapter has asked a state district judge to overturn the byproducts license and also opposes the low-level waste license."

These folks are a bunch of idiots and trial lawyers -- using YOUR membership money donations to do everything possible to prevent energy independence.  If you support these types of environmental groups you are just as guilty as they are!

If you remember from a previous blog article -- that all the nuclear wastes from all the US reactors operating since the 1950s would fit on ONE football field --- and that these wastes are a SOLID.

It is time for these fringe environmental groups to be STOPPED by the common sense American majority. Write to your Senator and Congressman and say you are FOR safe nuclear waste disposal. Then CANCEL your membership to the Sierra Club and any other group that throws up roadblocks to energy independence. Put the trial lawyers and their wacko environmental surrogates OUT OF BUSINESS!

http://www.sierraclub.org/    Sierra Club web site. Write them a common sense letter and ask them to GET OUT OF THE WAY!

AND-- if you don't believe these folks are all about LAWSUITS-- then read this page on their web site:

As the Texas wind energy farms expand-- I expect we will begin seeing countless lawsuits from these same groups slowing construction and increasing project costs. Probably every endangered species on the planet will be FOUND living right next to the wind tower!

Let me say that I am encouraged by the GANG of 10 energy plan discussed today in a Senate press conference on CSPAN. This is a bi-partisan group of 5 Democrats and 5 Republican Senators who have come together to help solve America's energy crisis. You can watch the video at this link below:

The plan has many of the elements in my original blog posting "An Open Letter To Congress". While not as broad in scope as I would have liked to see, the plan would be a good start for a real true Comprehensive Energy Plan.

I encourage you to spend a few minutes of your time and watch the Gang of 10 video.

MEANWHILE----- Ms. Nancy Pelosi turned off the lights, turned off the electric inside Congress, and ordered security personnel to remove all reporters from the building! Why? The Republicans are refusing to go home on vacation and are still in the Congress discussing America's energy crisis. I know some of you find it hard to believe that our representatives are speaking right NOW on the floor of Congress without lights or electricity or cameras! Watch this video--

I just hope the Washington Press is all over this attempt by Ms. Nancy to shut-down debate-- cameras--- and the press, and to stop Americans from seeing on TV, Congress debating energy. Sounds like something that would happen in North Korea, Cuba, or the Russian Congress and not right here in the USA!!!! What do you expect from San Francisco's socialist representative -- Her Majesty, the honorable Nancy Pelosi.

NANCY! TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON IN CONGRESS ---- AND GET BACK TO WORK!
