An energy blog discussing the energy crisis in the USA. Please limit your comments and suggestions to subjects directly related to ENERGY issues-- conventional and-or renewable. This may include the politics and economics surrounding this critical problem. This is NOT a "global warming" subject blog --- except where government energy policies may coincide with GW economic concerns. Your comments-RANTS-or discussion is welcomed.

Please write your State of Texas Congressperson and advise them to vote AGAINST this TAX BILL!

See this story in the Seagoville Suburbia Newspaper

http://www.suburbianews.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1404:new-taxes-from-austin-on-transportation&catid=69&Itemid=159

Just what we need from Austin, Texas-- more taxes applied to these items-

  • 10 cents a gallon gas tax.
  • $24.00 additional fee to renew a drivers license.
  • $60.00 additional fee on car and truck registration.
  • Up to $15.00 motor vehicle emissions fee for vehicles registered in the county.
  • A fee of up to $2.00 a day if you park in a city or county owned parking lot. Excluding meters.
  • $250.00 if you bring a vehicle into the taxing county.

They just never learn-------- this Bill already PASSED the Senate-- so jump on this very very quickly with a letter or phone call to your State Representative.

Right now the future of our US Economy looks rather BAD! The CBO recently puiblished projections and concerns on the MASSIVE deficit spending-- here read this--

http://club.ino.com/trading/2009/04/widening-deficits/

If this comes to pass expect big time inflation starting later this year, followed by a US dollar currency DE-flation sometime in 2010-2011. Right now it does not look very good for the "home" team. The scenario will be set later this year if the Treasury cannot sell bonds on the open market.

If you see the Federal Reserve step in then get ready for REALLY bad times! - unseen during my generation. Don't forget to blame this on the politicians when it happens during the next couple of years. They will pretend that they had no part in any of the bad decisions being made right now.

And check out the picture of a circa 2015 --- $250,000 house with landscaping above!

You be the judge after watching this video--

and understand that many of the speakers in the video are CREDIBLE scientists within the field of climatology.

Global Warming is just another POLITICAL movement that the "feel good" generation has fully accepted. You say that you do not agree with me? Well-- just watch the video. GW is the only field of science that claims to have a CONSENSUS and has already answered every possible question concerning this science topic. In other words-- "The debate is over!".

If our politicians continue to push CARBON CREDIT legislation-- YOU will pay big time. Virtually everything you buy will increase in price; as energy is needed to produce products. Remember coal fired power plants contribute 49% of all of the USA's electric power! It will be a long time before this changes to renewable energy which is in single digits as a percentage of total power.
