Have you seen this story posted by Frank Fite of Rockwall? Be careful when driving in the rain to avoid being the next accident victim at the Horizon Road exit ramp.

I'm hoping his story will be a vehicle for positive change, to help everyone in our City stay safe.

Lisa Arion asked me to help spread the word. She rescued this cute little pup from an untimely death at a dog pound. She's "loveable, cuddly and kissy," Lisa says. "She's more of a people dog. She gets along with other dogs, but she interacts mostly with people."

Want to give this precious fluff ball a home for the holidays, and forever more? Email Lisa at larion@panterasolutions.com.

Hey Rockwall-ites (and others who want to know why our community is so cool) - have you seen this new video we just posted about our mysterious rock wall? Check it out and tell me what you think...natural or manmade? Or something else?

I need to change out my profile photo. Everybody probably thinks I skydive all the time. But I haven't jumped in a while.

I'd do it again, but now I have kids. They want to skydive, bungee jump, race speed boats, and pilot small aircraft with my brother-in-law. I tell them they have to survive elementary school first.

I'll work on posting a new photo.

Even though we were able to buy tickets in advance to ensure the time of our carriage ride through Old Town Rockwall this evening, a serious car accident blocked traffic somewhere along the 60-mile stretch of highway from Aubrey to Rockwall - the same route carriage drivers were taking to get to the downtown square, where families eagerly awaited their turn for a holiday tour in a horse drawn buggy.

Well, my husband and son just returned from another weekend adventure at Camp Classen in Oklahoma. They are part of the Rangers circle, in the YMCA Adventure Guides program. My hubby volunteers to lead chapel services, and this weekend the boys re-enacted the story of David and Goliath. My son was David. Only they didn't think it wise to throw a rock at Goliath's head (Goliath was portrayed by one of the Adventure Guides dads, holding his big tin foil spear) -- so they used a neighborsGO ball instead. Dylan nailed him right between the eyes. He stunned Goliath with his accurate aim, and knocked him back (safely) on his feet. There must have been some divine intervention going on there, since he could have missed him entirely and the re-enactment might not have been so effective in relaying its message.

Haven't seen our orange neighborsGO balls? Stick around, submit a story online, maybe I'll see about throwing some your way.

After you passed away today, this song came to mind. I am sure you were speaking to me, Rodger. We will miss you. Fergie is in good hands. And so are you.

Goodbye to Rodger Wright. You will always be our "Uncle Rodger."

This is for all the lonely people
Thinking that life has passed them by
Dont give up until you drink from the silver cup
And ride that highway in the sky

This is for all the single people
Thinking that love has left them dry
Dont give up until you drink from the silver cup
You never know until you try

Well, Im on my way
Yes, Im back to stay
Well, Im on my way back home
