The Easter Bunny visited us while we were staying in a cabin in Beavers Bend, Oklahoma over Spring Break. My daughter Sam told us how she knew she'd like the Mounds candy bars best because she assumed they had nuts in them. That's when my husband sang her that jingle us old-timers know that goes "sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't; Almond Joy's got nuts, Mounds don't..."
After a discussion about our favorite candy bars, Butter Finger came up on my list of top three, next to Reese's peanut butter cups (if they qualify as a candy bar) and Three Musketeers. Ironically, I heard the next day that the candymaker has decided to change Butter Finger's name. Apparently, they think Butter Finger just doesn't fit the product image. Their new name? Well, they decided to just drop the word Butter, and call it the Finger.
Am I the only one who thinks this is really odd?
