This past Saturday was the annual Safety Fair held at Irving Mall.  There were activities for the whole family including a Sing-Along program for the kids and demonstrations put on by the police department and fire department. Police officers were on site at the mall to demonstrate the proper installation of car safety seats and show safety features of several car seats.  Police officers also handed out materials on careers at the police department and on prevention of alcohol related crimes.  The police department's bomb squad also gave demonstrations of their equipment to investigate suspicious packages.   (more)
