McKinney residents Jeff Harper, Andrew Harper and Daniel Brown experience the Pineapple Express mat racer slide at Hawaiian Falls Firewheel’s Home School Daze on June 1.

The Garland waterpark hosted the private, end-of-the-year event for home-schooled children in the area with the help of Mardel Christian & Education stores and several home-school associations.

Kelsey Johnson, left, Ariana Petty, Adrianna Banzhof, and Jake Baker will perform in the Frisco Area Children’s Theatre’s first show of the year, “The Magical Land of OZ,” which is directed by the theatre’s artistic director, Jesse Nichols, of McKinney.

The cast also includes McKinney residents Sophia and Gabriella Vann and David Benitez.
