J.J. Pearce High School senior, Chelsea Hunt, attended Bluebonnet Girls State, a civics and leadership training course sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is the daughter of Robert and Theresa Hunt and was sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit #368 in Richardson.

Bluebonnet Girls State educates young women in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship. Delegates are selected based on character, leadership, and scholarship.

Chelsea was awarded with the Good Citizenship Citation from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #368. She would like to thank the ALA and Mrs. Donna Burg for their sponsorship that allowed her to participate in this wonderful program.
