Cole completed the last two races of the Southwest Regional Cup Series where he finished 2nd in the Series points which currently has him ranked 2nd in the US Rotax National Point Series. In actuality, these rankings are out the window in two weeks when the best Rotax drivers in the nation arrive in Norman, Oklahoma to compete in the US Grand Nationals. In the last race of the series, Cole ran some of the fastest times and stayed in the top 4 drivers all weekend. Cole will be arriving in Norman again on September 11th to begin testing for the Grand Nationals which will be held September 14th through the 19th and will complete the 2009 season back in Norman the first two weeks of October where he will race in the Race of Americas in two classes and then in the CKI Nationals before returning to his local club to stay in shape and to prepare for the 2010 season which will begin with four months of racing in Florida.
