Dougherty’s Pharmacy and SPCA of Texas Pet Aw Dougherty’s Pharmacy, a trusted neighborhood institution in North Texas, is hosting a Pet Awareness event for customers on Thursday, November 19 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Dougherty’s is joining forces with the SPCA of Texas to raise awareness about the veterinary medicinal services it provides, as well as the SPCA of Texas’ Compassion Connection program which brings animal therapy to hospitals and nursing homes in Dallas and Collin County.
Representatives from both Dougherty’s and the SPCA of Texas will be at the event to answer questions about their respective services and answer any general pet health or training questions. Parents' Night Out and Silent Auction The event is free to attend, and all attendees will enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and snacks while browsing a wide variety of auction items, including sporting event tickets, jewelry, weekend getaways, performing arts tickets, educational classes, personal services and restaurant gift certificates. Child care will be available for a nominal fee at the White Rock YMCA.
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to benefit the children at William Lipscomb Elementary through special educational programs and school activities, such as The Big Canyon Balloon and Orbit Earth Expo, which teach TEKS curriculum targets to elementary students.

Fall Dance Concert North Lake College’s Center for the Visual and Performing Arts invites you to its fall Dance Concert on Nov. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. The performances are free and open to the community. A variety of dances will be performed, from classical ballet to hip-hop, including a finale by all thirty-three students dancing to “Ja Ho,” from the movie ‘Slum Dog Millionaire.’
The twenty-one member dance team will premiere its new kick line, and will also perform a specialty number that makes fun of drivers who talk on their cell phones. The day dance company will perform hip-hop and jazz numbers, while the night dance company will perform jazz and tap. The ballet class will perform a pointe piece.

Robert Dubac's Male Intellect: The 2nd Coming Robert Dubac's "Male Intellect: The 2nd Coming!" is part theater and part stand-up as Dubac transforms himself into a cast of characters hellbent on crystallizing life's ironies. This is Robert's sequel to the highly popular, "The Male Intellect: And Oxymoron?" program he presented at the Eisemann Center as part of our Theatre Comedy Series in 2004, and he picks up right where he left off- ransacking his brain trying to figure out what women want.
