Chinese people a couple of thousand years ago believed in the afterlife just as the Egyptians did. The Emperor needed to have all the soldiers to look after him after he died and went into the next life. What is interesting is that there are several thousand of these soldiers and each one is an individual. They all have different faces, different hair do's and are dressed differently. There are so many that they will probably never uncover all of them. They even had horses, wagons and armaments buried with them. It was an amazing sight.

Okay, I'll admit it. I don't really know the whole story behind these terra cotta soldiers. They are fascinating. What's up with these guys?
