Still my fave, though I'm dying to top it! If the baby grand piano hadn't had a Sold sign on it last time I was The Family Place Thrift Store, it would have done the trick. People donate some great stuff to them!
This is for the 'My Favorite Thrift Store find" segment of Neighborsgo. I love a great bargain and got this amazing coffee table when I was dropping off donations at The Family Place Thrift Shop. I usually call them and they come with their big truck and pick up doantions that i have collected from my friends as well as things we're not using anymore, but on this day I didn't feel I had enough to have the truck come, so loaded up the Navigator and went over, myself. And am I glad I did! I didn't buy the table, or the wingback chairs that were only $35 each. Chairs didn't match my color scheme but was kicking myself when I went back to get table (I'd called and had a HOLD put on it as I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect it was) and they were gone. I could have had them recoered for far less than buying two new chairs. Oh, well. i scored on the table. At my annual christmas party a friend told me she almost bought the same table at Haverty's for $800 and I got it for $200! As you can see, the top is leather, unblemished or damaged, so the kids can sit on it. they were doing that anyway with the old table that wasn't meant to be sat on and destroying it. it has two end tables that pull out for drinks, eating (which they also do) and 3 drawers on either side for magazines. it is the most functional coffee table ever!
See www.familyplace.org for info on the Thrift Shop. I love it!
