This is a photo of me (when I was dancing the role of "The Sugar Plum Fairy" at the age of sixteen with Paul Sutherland, a guest artist from NYC's Joffrey Ballet.) We performed at Kleinhans Music Hall accompanied by the Buffalo Philharmonic. (I left my native Midland, Texas to study with Kathleen Crofton at The Ballet Center of Buffalo in NY, when I was only 14 years old. It raised quite a few eyebrows in Midland at that time. I was the first of several little girls to go to professional ballet boarding schools where we danced for more than 6 hours per day six, sometimes seven days per week. It was the closest thing in the USA at that time to the Kirov School in Leningrad/St. Petersburg.)
