The Richardson Civic Art Society is thrilled to announce the 42nd Annual Regional Art Show, which will be held at the EisemannCenter’s Green Mezzanine Gallery in Richardson from March 4 to March 30, 2008.
The Gallery is open for viewing from 10:00AM until 6:00PM Monday through Saturday and during all events held at the EisemannCenter.
Chairperson for the art show is Sally Meding, and the co-chairperson is Toni Wengler. “The EisemannCenter is a magnificent place for the community to view beautiful art that will be on display. We are very fortunate that our community appreciates the arts and provides a facility like the EisemannCenter,” Bert Rodriquez, President, says.
The juror for this show is noted watercolorist Pat Dews, who lives in Hobe Sound, Florida and spends summers in Southold, New York. She will be leading a five day workshop at Artist’s Showplace in Richardson.
The Richardson Civic Art Society is fortunate to have many talented local artists who show locally and nationally. Many well known artists from other areas of Texas are also represented in this show.
Funded in part by the City of Richardson and the Richardson Arts Council, the Richardson Civic Arts Society is fortunate to work in partnership with the Richardson Public Library where it holds monthly meetings and art shows throughout the year.
Each year at the Regional show, The Richardson Civic Arts Society sponsors a Purchase Award of $1,500, and the winning painting is donated to the Richardson Library as part of their permanent collection. Over $5,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be given.
The Reception for the art show will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Eisemann Gallery from 6PM to 9PM. Prices will be awarded, and there will be delicious food catered by ?. ? piano artistry will lend its ambiance to this lovely event.
